Privacy Policy
CalcHonest · Effective date: October 21, 2026
CalcHonest (“the app”) is published by the developer of CalcHonest (“we”). This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: we do not collect any data.
Your calculations stay on your device
Calculations, history and template inputs are processed and stored only on your iPhone. History is kept in the app’s local storage, is excluded from iCloud backup, and can be turned off or cleared at any time in the app.
Data we collect
None. The app has no account or sign-in, shows no ads, and contains no third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs. It does not track you across apps or websites and does not use the advertising identifier.
Currency rates
CalcHonest only connects to the internet when you tap “Update rate online.” It then requests public exchange-rate data from ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com). The request contains only a currency code—no account, identifier, or calculation data—but, as with any internet request, their servers can see your IP address. We do not receive or store it. See ExchangeRate-API’s terms and privacy policy: https://www.exchangerate-api.com/terms. You can always enter a rate manually instead.
Purchases
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. The app checks your purchase status on your device using Apple’s StoreKit; we do not run a server that stores your purchase history. A small counter of free template uses is stored in your device’s Keychain and never leaves your device.
Information Apple provides to developers
Through App Store Connect, Apple gives developers aggregated information such as downloads, sales and app usage statistics. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may also provide crash reports and diagnostics. This information is provided by Apple, is not used by us to identify you, and is only available if you have agreed to share it. You can change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Children’s privacy
CalcHonest is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app collects no data, no personal information about children is collected.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. If we ever start collecting data, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy details before that change takes effect.
