Frequently asked questions

Is the basic calculator really free?

Yes. The calculator, history and unit converter are free with no limits and no ads. Pro unlocks the templates: Construction & area, Tip & split and Currency. You can try each template for free 3 times a day; the remaining count is shown next to the Calculate button.

What does Pro cost?

Two options: Lifetime (one-time purchase, recommended) or Yearly. There is no weekly plan and no free trial. Current prices are always shown in the app and on the App Store.

Can my family use Pro?

Yes. Lifetime and Yearly both support Family Sharing. If you’ve set up Family Sharing and turned on purchase sharing, family members can use Pro on their own devices. Family members may need to open the app and tap Restore Purchases.

Does the Construction template use feet or meters?

Both. Switch between feet (ft, sq ft) and meters (m, m²) at the top of the template.

Why does 0.1 + 0.2 show 0.3?

CalcHonest uses decimal math instead of binary floating point, so results like 0.1 + 0.2 = 0.3 and 1 ÷ 3 × 3 = 1 come out exactly as expected.

How do percentages work?

a + b% adds b percent of a (200 + 10% = 220), and a − b% works the same way. a × b% gives b percent of a. A number followed by % on its own is divided by 100.

How do I use or turn off history?

Tap any history entry to bring it back and keep editing. Swipe to delete a single entry, or clear all (you’ll be asked to confirm). You can turn history off in Settings.

Where do currency rates come from?

You can enter a rate manually, or tap Update rate online to fetch the latest daily rate from Rates By Exchange Rate API. The last rate and its time are saved for offline use. Rates are for reference only.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Sign in with the same Apple Account, open CalcHonest → Settings → Restore Purchases. No CalcHonest account is needed.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the iPhone Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → CalcHonest → Cancel Subscription. You can also go there from CalcHonest → Settings → Manage Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged.

If I delete the app, is my subscription cancelled?

No. Deleting CalcHonest does not cancel your subscription. Please cancel it in Settings as described above.

How do I request a refund?

Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, find the purchase, and choose “Request a refund”.
