Privacy Policy

Flatleaf (“the app”) is published by the developer of Flatleaf (“we”). This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: we do not collect any data.

Your documents stay on your device

The app uses your camera only to scan documents. You can also import images you pick from your photo library. Scans, PDFs, text recognition (OCR) and signatures are processed and stored only on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded to us or to anyone else. Documents leave your device only when you choose to share them or save them to Files.

Data we collect

None. The app has no account or sign-in, shows no ads, and contains no third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs. It does not track you across apps or websites and does not use the advertising identifier.

Purchases

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. The app checks your purchase status on your device using Apple’s StoreKit. Your daily free-page count and page-pack balance are stored in your device’s Keychain and never leave your device.

Information Apple provides to developers

Through App Store Connect, Apple gives developers aggregated information such as downloads, sales and app usage statistics. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may also provide crash reports and diagnostics. This information is provided by Apple, is not used by us to identify you, and is only available if you have agreed to share it. You can change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Your choices

You can change camera or photo access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security. Deleting the app removes its local data, including your documents, from your device; please export anything you want to keep first.

Children’s privacy

Flatleaf is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app collects no data, no personal information about children is collected.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. If we ever start collecting data, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy details before that change takes effect.
